There’s more to obtaining and preserving an autograph from a Major League Baseball player than one would think.

No sharpies or gel pens, only ballpoint. Unless you’re talking baseball cards, be sure to use a marker, preferably blue. Freshly autographed baseball? Stash it in a Ziploc bag with the ink facing up so it doesn’t smudge.
