Thirty-one of Maine’s high school senior offensive and defensive linemen have been selected as nominees for the annual Frank Gaziano High School Scholarship and Awards.
The list includes 18 offensive linemen and 13 defensive linemen from 26 communities.
The Frank Gaziano Awards winners will be announced at a banquet brunch at the Augusta Civic Center on Jan. 27 at 9 a.m.
One offensive lineman and one defensive lineman will each receive a $5,000 scholarship. Four runners-up will each receive a $1,000 scholarship.
The scholarship and awards program for the state’s high school football linemen was created in 2010.
