BALTIMORE — Andrew Casali scored on Mark Esposito’s bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 12th inning, lifting the University of Maryland Baltimore County to a 7-6 win over Maine on Sunday in an America East Conference baseball game.

The Retrievers (5-10, 3-3) rallied to tie it with a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Scott Heath had three hits and two RBI for Maine (6-16, 1-2). Brian Doran also had three hits.

SALVE REGINA 3, ST. JOSEPH’S 2: The Seahawks (11-3) took advantage of four walks, a hit batter and a wild pitch during a three-run fourth inning and held on for a win over the Monks (8-5) at Newport, R.I.

Taylor Reuillard hit an RBI single for St. Joseph’s in the top of the fourth. The Monks added a run on an error in the the ninth, but left the tying run on first.

COLBY SWEEPS BARD: Daniel Csaplar hit an RBI single in the second inning and added a two-run homer during a five-run sixth to lead the Mules (2-0) to an 8-1 win over the Raptors (3-4) in the opener of a doubleheader at Auburndale, Fla.

Colby starter Scott Goldberg struck out 10 and gave up two hits in six shutout innings.

Jason Buco also homered for the Mules and Alec Finigan drove in three runs.

In Game 2, Colby used a nine-run sixth, capped by a homer by Buco, to pull away for a 10-1 win.

SOFTBALL

MAINE 12, HARTFORD 9: Rachel Harvey and Shelby Obert had two hits and four RBI apiece as the Black Bears (10-9, 2-1 America East) used 10 runs in the final three innings to rally past the Hawks (5-13, 1-2) at West Hartford, Conn.

Jessica Burk added two hits, two runs scored and two RBI and Samantha Ralphs scored four runs for the Black Bears.

OBERLIN 4, COLBY 3: Emily King pitched a complete game and scored on Jenny Hill’s two-out single down the left field line in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Yeowomen (2-3) edged the Mules (1-2) in their first game of the day at Clermont, Fla.

The Mules took a 3-2 lead in the eighth on Meaghan Lewia’s RBI single, but Oberlin answered in the bottom of the frame.

Megan Michie threw a complete game for the Mules, giving up two earned runs on nine hits.

COLBY 2, KALAMAZOO 0: Aimee Polimeno threw a four-hitter to lead the Mules past the Hornets (2-2) in their second game. Tori Sansone drove in the go-ahead run with a double in the bottom of the fifth. Emily Schatz added an RBI single in the sixth.

MEN’S LACROSSE

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 14, USM 6: Sean Largay and Adam Shute each scored four goals and the Pilgrims (5-1) cruised to a win over the Huskies (0-5) at Henniker, N.H.

Austin Watts had four goals for Southern Maine.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

CASTLETON STATE 10, USM 8: Kate Auer scored four times for the Spartans (1-3), who used three late goals in a span of 1:28 to rally past the Huskies (1-3) at Castleton, Vt. Jacki Kelley and Rosie Forster each scored twice for the Huskies.
