The Phoenix Coyotes assigned high-scoring rookie forward Chris Brown and left wing Lucas Lessio to the Portland Pirates on Saturday.
Brown, who leads the Pirates with 25 goals, returns after a nine-day stay with the Coyotes.  He was scoreless in five games.
Lessio was signed to an amateur tryout contract after he had 19 goals and 15 assists in his third season with the Oshawa Generals of the junior Ontario Hockey League.
The Pirates, who have five games remaining in the regular season, play the Hershey Bears at 4:05 p.m. Sunday at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
