LEWISTON — Defenseman Michael Stone scored a goal and had an assist to lead the Portland Pirates to a 2-1 win Saturday night in an AHL game at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.
Brandon Gormley, a rookie defenseman, and Stone scored power-play goals during the second period to send Portland into a 2-0 lead.
Rookie goalie Mark Visentin stopped 24 or 25 shots for the Pirates.
