PORTLAND — The Portland Pirates snapped a three-game losing streak as the Portland Pirates snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the Manchester Monarchs in an AHL game at the Cumberland County Civic Center Friday night.

Nick Johnson and Chris Conner each scored a goal and had two assists for the Pirates.

Linden Vey, the AHL’s leading scorer, scored two goals for the Monarchs.
