FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Ron Howard scored 20 points and Brandon Wallace added 19, leading Fort Wayne to a dominating 107-93 D-League victory Thursday night over the Maine Red Claws.
Jermaine Taylor led the Red Claws with 31 points on an otherwise poor shooting night for Maine. Taylor has scored 63 points in his last two games.
The loss was the second in a row for the Red Claws in this five-game road trip, which concludes Saturday in Springfield, Mass. Maine (23-23) dropped out of the eighth and final playoff spot, and behind Fort Wayne (22-21).
The Red Claws never led by more than two points and that came on two free throws by Chris Wright in the opening minute.
