PORTLAND — Young basketball players across Maine are getting a chance to learn from the pros this summer.
The Maine Red Claws of the NBA Developmental League have announced a series of a dozen youth clinics across the state.
The 90-minute free clinics will teach basketball fundamentals to children of all ages in the parking lots of Dunkin' Donuts shops.
The clinics start Monday in Gorham and will also be held in Skowhegan, Brewer, South Paris, Brunswick, Conway, N.H., Poland, Saco, Farmington, Thomaston, Auburn and Lisbon Falls.
The Red Claws are the top minor league affiliate of the Boston Celtics.
