Louie Luchini, 32, of Ellsworth, won Sunday for the second year in a row, and Round Pond native Leah Frost, 30, set a course record in the women’s division just two weeks after winning the Maine Marathon.

Luchini finished the 26.2-mile route from Bar Harbor to Southwest Harbor in 2:32:55. It was his third MDI Marathon victory, but about two minutes slower than last year’s winning time.

About 1,400 runners competed in either the marathon or the inaugural half marathon, which was won by Scarborough’s Craig Robinson, 22, in 1:16:59. Grace Nash, 33, of Newburgh, was the first female finisher in the half, with a time of 1:40:28.
