WORCESTER, Mass. — St. Joseph’s outhit Anna Maria 32-6 while cruising to 7-1 and 14-0 victories in a GNAC softball doubleheader on Friday, improving its conference record to 18-2.

Lindsay Moore went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI for the Monks (25-4) in the opener. Laura Jordan struck out 10 in five innings for the win.

Kim Jordan had four hits and Kylie McFadden tossed a six-hitter in a five-inning win over the AmCats (3-29, 1-19) in the late game.

HUSSON SWEEPS BOWDOIN: Christine Connors singled home Casey Lopes with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh, capping a three-run rally that lifted the Eagles (17-7) to a 7-6 win and a doubleheader sweep of the Polar Bears (16-10) at Bangor.

Husson took the opener 6-5, rallying for four runs in the bottom of the sixth after Bowdoin scored three in the top of the frame.

Katie Gately had four hits, two runs and two RBI on the day for Bowdoin.

TRINITY 7, COLBY 1: Hannah King allowed a run on three hits as the Bantams (7-16, 5-5 NESCAC) defeated the Mules (5-13, 1-5) at Hartford, Conn.

Katie McLaughin, Meaghan Lewia and Brianne Wheeler each had a hit for Colby.

TUFTS 9, BATES 1: Allyson Fournier threw a two-hitter to lead the Jumbos (24-3, 6-0 NESCAC) over the Bobcats (5-13, 1-5) at Lewiston.

Karen Lockhart had an RBI double for Bates.

BASEBALL

BATES 9, TRINITY 2: Nate Pajka and Brendan Fox each scored three runs, Berto Diaz drove in two, and the Bobcats (12-10, 3-2 NESCAC) routed the Bantams (9-15, 3-7) at Hartford, Conn.

Rockwell Jackson added two hits and a run. Brad Reynolds pitched allowed two runs on four hits in 52/3 to improve to 4-1. Sam Maliska finished with a scoreless 31/3.

ST. JOSEPH’S, JOHNSON & WALES SPLIT: After losing the opener 4-2, the Monks (19-10, 10-2 GNAC) scored four runs in the first inning of Game 2 and held on for a 5-2 victory to split their doubleheader with Johnson & Wales (25-10, 7-5) at Standish.

Jake Marchesseault allowed an earned run on six hits in a complete game for the Wildcats in Game 1.

Nic Lops tied the game at 1 for the Monks with an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth, but Johnson & Wales answered with three runs in the top of the seventh. An RBI double from Tim Beaudette was all St. Joseph’s could manage in the bottom of the inning.

Lops started the first-inning rally in Game 2 with an RBI single to left field. Taylor Reuillard brought home a run with a sacrifice fly, Lops scored on an error and Brett Barbati capped the rally with an RBI single to right.

On the mound, Nick Whittaker struck out seven, walked three and gave up five hits and two earned runs.

TUFTS 10, COLBY 1: Connor McDavitt and Max Freccia each went 2 for 3 as the Jumbos (21-2, 4-1 NESCAC) rolled past the Mules (13-7, 4-3) at Medford, Mass.

Danny Csaplar had an RBI single for Colby in the first.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

BATES 15, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 12: The Bobcats (8-6, 4-5 NESCAC) opened the second half with a 5-1 to take an 11-4 lead over the Camels (4-10, 0-9) in a win at New London, Conn.

The Camels scored six goals in the final seven minutes but were left three goals shy.

Alex Briody, Suzannah Smith, Blair Shrewsbury, and Emma Brinkman each scored twice for the Bobcats. Bridget Meedzan had a goal and two assists.
