Time Warner Cable announced Wednesday it will air the Maine high school boys’ and girls’ basketball tournaments, beginning with the regional semifinals and continuing through to the state finals.

The regional semifinals began Wednesday and finish Friday. Regional finals are Friday and Saturday.

The Class B boys’ and girls’ state championship games will be played Feb. 28 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. The Class A state finals will be at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, and the Class C and D finals at the Augusta Civic Center. Those games will be March 1.

Time Warner Cable customers can tune into the games on the following channels:

All games at the Cumberland County Civic Center for the regional semifinals and finals (Channel 9); for the Class A state championship (channels 3, 10, 13).

All games at the Augusta Civic Center (channels, 3, 10 or 13) for the regional semifinals and finals; and for the Class C and D state championships (channels 510 or 712 in HD); channel 1998 in SD.

All games at the Cross Insurance Center (channels 510, 712 in HD); channel 1998 in SD; for the Class B state championships (channels 510 or 712 in HD; channels 3, 10 or 13 in SD.

Time Warner and the Cumberland County Civic Center reached an agreement last week on the installation of a fiber optic cable so the tournament games could be aired at the newly renovated Civic Center.
