Mt. Ararat High cheerleaders joined teams from western and central Maine in competing Saturday at the regional cheerleading championships at the Augusta Civic Center. Mt. Ararat finished ninth in Eastern Class A, which was won by Lewiston. Other division winners were Biddeford in Western Class A, Medomak Valley in Western Class B and Madison in Western Class C. The top six teams in each division advance to the state championships Feb. 8 in Bangor.


Brunswick’s cheerleaders were having fun during their routine, which earned them an eighth-place finish in Eastern Class A.


McAuley High cheerleaders finished ninth in Western Class C.
