The Pemaquid Paddlers are celebrating their 10th year of warm-weather Tuesday paddles. All trips are free and open to the public, last two to three hours and are easy to moderate in difficulty. Participants must provide their own canoe or kayak and wear a lifejacket. Email pemaquidpaddlers @aol.com or call 677-6380. The put-in for this week’s paddle off Broad Cove is at the end of Storer Road, off Route 32, in Bremen.

Life at Fort McClary
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Kittery
A Revolutionary War encampment will bring Fort McClary to life, with historians wearing period dress while they cook, do chores and even go to battle during the weekend festival. Cannons will be shot throughout the day and a mock battle will take place each afternoon. State park admission costs $2 for Maine resident adults, $3 for non-residents, $1 for children ages 5 to 11, and nothing for those 65 and older. To learn more, go to www.mcclary.org.
Summer Explorations
10 a.m. in Bath
As part of the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust’s “Summer Explorations” series, illustrator David Wheeler will guide participants in sketching the Maine coast. Join other naturalists at the Thorne Head Preserve in Bath. Come enjoy the tranquility of the forest and water views of Whiskeag Creek and the Kennebec River, as Wheeler shares interesting artifacts, fossils and facts. No cost. Kayak Adventure

Join the Boothbay Region Land Trust for its annual kayak trip, starting at the public boat launch on McKown Point Road. Beginners to intermediate and above are welcome. Bring your own kayak, a PFD, water and picnic lunch. No cost. Call 633-4818 to register.
