Winter Celebration / 10 a.m. to noon in Jefferson

Hidden Valley Nature Center is hosting a snowshoe and cross-country ski clinic. Bring your own equipment or call ahead to use HVNC's snowshoes. That same evening from 4 to 6 p.m., there will be a guided snowshoe or hiking tour of some of the trails. Expect to hike 2 to 3 miles at a moderate pace. Suggested donation is $5. Moonlight Trek / 6 p.m. in Biddeford

Join the Eastern Trail stewards for their monthly moonlight walk, which drew more than 30 walkers last month. Meet at the trail entrance at the rear of the Southern Maine Medical Center parking lot in Biddeford. Bring snowshoes or cross-country skis. The group will return to the parking lot about 7:30 p.m. Call 283-4487 for more information.


Grey Ghost Fly Tyers / Jan. 8 in Yarmouth

The Gray Ghosts meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month through March, except holidays. The fly tying class is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and is sponsored by the Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited. All welcome. No cost, although a $2 donation is welcome to help pay for material.
