ALBANY, N.Y. – Raheem Singleton made two free throws with 3.6 seconds remaining to give the University of Maine a 66-64 victory over Albany in an America East Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday night.

The Black Bears (9-7, 3-1 American East) trailed 64-62 with 39 seconds left before Gerald McLemore hit two free throws to tie the game.

After a missed shot by Albany (8-11, 1-3), Singleton was tripped on his way to the basket and nailed both free throws.

McLemore led Maine with 19 points on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point range. Troy Barnies added 18 points and Singleton finished with 10 assists.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

ALBANY 65, MAINE 50: Ebone Henry and Cassandra Callaway combined for 33 points as the Great Danes (10-6, 3-0 America East) pulled away from Maine (3-13, 1-3) at Orono.

Ashleigh Roberts had 11 points for Maine and Jaymie Druding added 10.
