SANFORD - Zach Dubiel and Riley Murphy scored touchdowns Friday night, and Bonny Eagle held on for a 14-6 victory against Sanford in a Western Class A football game.
CHEVERUS-GORHAM
• Saturday's Cheverus-Gorham football game has been moved to 1 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Stadium.
Dubiel opened the scoring on a 3-yard run in the second quarter and Murphy doubled the lead when he scored on a 46-yard run in the third for the Scots (2-3).
Sanford (2-3) cut the deficit to 14-6 early in the fourth on a 37-yard pass from Cody Mooney to Alex Shain.
TRAIP ACADEMY 14, BOOTHBAY REGION 0: Corey Aldecoa scored on a 45-yard run in the second quarter and added a 2-yard touchdown run in the third to lead the Rangers (5-0) over the Seahawks (1-4) at Boothbay Harbor.
GREELY 47, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 6: Drew Hodge threw two touchdown passes and ran for two other scores to lead the Rangers (4-1) past the Raiders (2-3) at Cumberland.
Svenn Jacobson caught both touchdown passes and also scored on a 75-yard kickoff return. Alex Kroot and James Ferrar also ran for Greely touchdowns.
WINDHAM 17, KENNEBUNK 14: Colby Waterhouse ran for one touchdown and threw for another as Windham (3-2) held off a late charge by the Rams (2-3) at Kennebunk.
Waterhouse had a 55-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, then connected with Erik Webb on a 40-yard scoring pass in the fourth to help the Eagles take a 17-0 lead.
The Rams answered with a touchdown run by Nick Emmons before Liam Studley returned a fumble 45 yards to cut the lead to three with four minutes remaining.
Kennebunk reached the Windham 24 on its final possession before turning the ball over on downs with less than two minutes to play.
