Zdeno Chara is the sixth Boston Bruin to head for a foreign team during the NHL lockout. Also, Patrice Bergeron may sign with a Swiss club, a source has said.

The Associated Press

According to Matt Keator, Chara will join HC Lev Praha at the end of this week.

The KHL is thought to be the second-most lucrative league in the world, behind the NHL. While Chara won't make his current $6.9 million salary, he should cash in pretty well.

Chara joins Bruins teammates Anton Khudobin, Dennis Seidenberg, Rich Peverley, Tyler Seguin and Andrew Ference as players that have joined European teams in the wake of the NHL lockout.

A source close to Patrice Bergeron said the Bruins forward is close to signing with a Swiss club.

The last time there was a lockout, Chara played in Sweden, but right now the top league there is not allowing NHL players to have the option of returning to the States when the lockout ends.
