BRUNSWICK - Rachel Moroney finished with two goals and an assist Wednesday night to lead Brunswick to a 7-2 victory against Mt. Ararat in a schoolgirl hockey game.
Gillian Ford and Eliza Brooks added two goals and one assist apiece for the Dragons (5-9), and Grace Rabinowitz scored one goal and assisted on another.
Mt. Ararat (0-13) took a 1-0 lead 14 seconds into the game on a goal by Devon Hutchins. Ford tied it five minutes later. Brunswick took the lead for good when Moroney scored with 2:22 left in the first period.
The Dragons put the game out of reach when Ford and Moroney scored in the first 42 seconds of the second period to extend the lead to 4-1.
Claire Briggs also scored for Mt. Ararat, which was outshot 30-15 by Brunswick.
