The Western Maine Baseball Umpires Association is holding certification classes on five consecutive Sunday evenings beginning Feb. 10. WMBUA provides baseball umpires for schools and leagues above the Little League level in Cumberland and York counties. The 19th annual Dr. Noel Paradies Memorial Swish-Out and Junior Swish-Out Childhood Cancer Challenge will be held Feb. 10 at USM in Gorham. Registration is open for the event, which is a three-on-three, co-ed, double-elimination event. The tournament is open to adults 18 or older. The entry fee is $100 per team, with all funds raised going directly to the Maine Children's Cancer Program. The Junior Swish-Out is open to students in grades 6-8 and the entry fee is $75 per team.
