Scarborough will hold a race for ages 3 through 12 on Monday as part of the Memorial Day events. The race starts at the high school parking lot at 9 a.m. There will be a half-mile race for the youngest children and a mile race for the older children. The entry fee is $5. A reduced fee will be offered for a child who brings a photo of a parent or grandparent in a military uniform. The annual parade is sponsored by Libby-Mitchell Post 76. It will include two parade floats created by Libby-Mitchell baseball teams. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the high school. The Maine Historical Society and Cape Elizabeth Historical Society are hosting a vintage baseball game June 22 at the Fort Road Athletic Field in South Portland, across from the SMCC athletic center. The free program will run from noon to 4 p.m. The Dirigo Base Ball Club of Augusta will play the Essex Base Ball Organization of Newbury, Mass., in two nine-inning games using rules and customs from the 1860s. Cougar Field Hockey will conduct camps this summer in four locations, split into middle school and high school age groups, and to skill levels.
