Registration is open for the Portland Area Youth Soccer Association (PAYSA) fall recreational program. PAYSA’s recreational program offers children ages 5 through 11 an opportunity to play soccer no matter their skill level or ability. The program is divided by age, and boys and girls play separately. The Maine Games is again partnering with the Biddeford Youth Football Association to present an official NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition in conjunction with the 24th Annual Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic, being held at Waterhouse Field starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 20. This free event for children between the ages of 6 and 15 years is the first step in the national championship. Golfing FORE! Kidneys, a scramble tournament to raise awareness of kidney disease and funds for transplants, will be held at 8:30 a.m. July 27 at Bath Golf Club. The event will benefit the patient assistance fund for Maine Medical Center’s transplant program. The cost is $85 per person, which includes lunch.
