The Mid-Summer Paddle Festival will be held July 14 at Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport.

The festival will feature live music, demos and the Paddle Battle, a fun race using kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, canoes or surfboards. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kennebunk Fire Department. For more information, visit paddlebattlekport.com.

The Lobster SUP CUP, or The Battle for Penobscot Bay, a two-day stand-up paddle stage race will be held on Aug. 10-11. This 25-mile race will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation’s Operation Rebound. The Lobster SUP CUP is an exposed open water event for experienced and physically fit paddlers. Let’s Ride Aroostook, a 150-mile scenic two-day bike ride through Aroostook County, will be held Aug. 10-11. The event is to support Camp Adventure, a regional summer camp for children with Type 1 diabetes. For more information, visit ridearoostook.org.

The Tri for Preservation Triathlon will be held on at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 18 at Crescent Beach State Park. The Tri for Preservation triathlon consists of a 500-yard ocean swim along the well-protected cove of Crescent Beach. Participants then transition to a 14.5-mile, rolling bike course.
