The Maine Games will hold an NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition for boys and girls ages 6-15 on Saturday before the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic at Waterhouse Field in Biddeford. Check-in and registration will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m. for the free event, which starts at 9. Winners of each division will advance to the section competition this fall. The South Portland High boys’ basketball golf tournament will be held July 29 at Falmouth Country Club. Registration starts at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Those interested in playing or contributing as a sponsor should contact Coach Phil Conley at conleyp@spsd.org.

The Maine chapter of the National Football Foundation will hold its kickoff luncheon Aug. 1 at the Howard Johnson Conference Center in Portland, featuring the state’s six college head coaches.
