• Thornton Academy is holding its annual alumni soccer and field hockey games this month.
The boys’ soccer game is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Alumni should wear gray T-shirts. Contact Coach Carlson at andrew.carlson@ thorntonacademy.org.
The field hockey game will be played at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24. Warm-ups begin at 8:30 a.m. Alumni are asked to wear white shirts and white socks/shin guards. For information, contact coach Lori Smith at lori.smith@thornton academy.org
• The Andy Valley ASA Umpires Labor Day Weekend Class D Tournament will be held in Lewiston/Auburn Aug. 31-Sept. 2.
The entry fee is $200 and the entry deadline is Aug. 28.
