PORTLAND - Nick Breed had three goals and an assist Thursday night to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 4-2 victory against Marshwood-Traip Academy in a schoolboy hockey game at the Portland Ice Arena.

Corey Wright scored in the first and second periods to give Marshwood-Traip Academy (11-4) a 2-1 lead.
The Capers (9-3-2) rallied with three goals in the third. Breed started the rally with his second goal eight seconds into the period, then he set up Cole Caswell, who scored the go-ahead goal 34 seconds later.
SCARBOROUGH 5, BRUNSWICK 4: Jack Rouselle scored his third goal of the game at 4:01 of overtime tolift Scarborough (11-2-1) over the Dragons (6-8-1) at Brunswick.
The Red Storm rallied from a 3-1 deficit, taking a 4-3 lead on Rouselle's second goal with 5:32 left in regulation. Matt Brooks pulled the Dragons even on a power-play goal with 58 seconds left.
Cam Loiselle added a goal and four assists, and Garrett McDonald had a goal and two assists for Scarborough. Brooks had two goals and an assist for Brunswick.
CHEVERUS 8, NOBLE-WELLS 2: Cameron McLain had four goals and two assists to lead Cheverus (9-4) past Noble/Wells (2-12) at Portland.
Liam Fitzpatrick added two goals and two assists, and Sterling Weatherbie had three assists for the Stags.
FALMOUTH 10, PORTLAND 1: Jack Pike had a goal and three assists to help the Yachtsmen (10-3) down the Bulldogs (0-13) at Falmouth.
Ben Freeman and Billy Mullin each had two goals for Falmouth.
BOYS' BASKETBALL
A.R. GOULD 59, ISLESBORO 16: Zacharia Mohamed had 13 points and 11 rebounds for A.R. Gould (10-7) against Islesboro (0-17) at South Portland.
Mical Cole added 10 points for A.R. Gould.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 55, POLAND 44: Djordje Obradovic scored 16 points and Bright Amoako had 15 to lead the Raiders (8-10) past the Knights (10-8) at Fryeburg.
Lionel Rutabayiro added 10 points for Fryeburg, which took a 13-8 lead in the first and extended it to 28-21 at halftime.
Ricky Bryant scored 17 points for Poland. Andrew Peterson had 10.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 69, MORSE 50: John Murray scored 15 points to pace Medomak Valley (16-2) over Morse (4-14) at Waldoboro.
Jonathan Hendrikson-Belloguet added 12 points and Deering Genthner contributed six assists for the Panthers.
Ted Cole supplied 12 of his 17 points in the third quarter as Morse tried to stage a comeback from a 36-13 halftime deficit. Matt Munster finished with 14 points for the Shipbuilders.
MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 50, CAMDEN HILLS 48: Jerry Chen hit a layup with one second left and Zach Fortin made a steal to clinch the victory as Maine Central Insitute (3-15) beat Camden Hills (11-7) at Pittsfield.
BRUNSWICK 59, MT. ARARAT 57: Mitchell Black scored 20 points and Brunswick (11-7) came through with 21 points in the fourth quarter to nip Mt. Ararat (2-13) at Topsham.
Garrett Erb added 15 points and Trent Anderson had 12 for Brunswick.
GIRLS' BASKETBALL
MT. ARARAT 47, BRUNSWICK 31: Mallory Nelson scored six of her 16 points in the first quarter as Mt. Ararat (12-6) took a 16-4 lead against the Dragons (4-14) at Brunswick.
Leah Hitchcock added 10 points for the Eagles. Julia Champagne scored 16 points for the Dragons. Mel Bryant added 10.
