WELLS – Chris Robicheaw scored 16 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter Tuesday night, helping Cape Elizabeth hold off Wells for an 80-75 victory in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy basketball game.

The Capers (11-4) hit all 10 of their free throws in the final period.

Henry Babcock and Edward Galvin added 18 points each, and Ethan Murphy had 13 for the Capers. Jake Moody scored 23, Nathan Booth 18, Dylan Stevens 16 and Chris Carney 11 for Wells (9-6).

 

SANFORD 52, WINDHAM 49: Ryan Camire put in 21 points as the Spartans (7-8) edged the Eagles (5-10) at Windham.

John Morgan and Brandon Stanton added 10 points apiece for Sanford, which used a 13-4 third quarter to pull away from a 22-22 halftime tie.

Spencer Hodge had 13 points and Dylan Weisser scored 11, each with three 3-pointers for Windham.

 

YORK 67, TRAIP ACADEMY 34: Zach Leal had 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals as the Wildcats (14-1) cruised past the Rangers (5-10) at York.

Aaron Todd chipped in 16 points for the Wildcats.

Christian Montembeau paced Traip with 11 points.

POLAND 62, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 57: C.J. Martin scored eight second-period points, helping Poland (4-11) widen a two-point lead over the Patriots (3-12) to 33-23 at the half at Gray.

The Knights increased the lead to 14 points in the third period before Gray-New Gloucester cut the lead to three with 49 seconds left. But Martin sank a pair of free throws.

Martin finished with 20 points, Tyler Michaud scored 18 and Alan Young 11 for Poland. Will Shafer led the Patriots with 20 points and Andreas Kariotis added 10.

 

CHEVERUS 56, KENNEBUNK 48: Noah Stebbins scored 14 points, Emmanuel Ismail 13 and Andrew Cloutier 11 to lead the Stags (5-9) over Kennebunk (1-14) at Portland.

Cheverus pulled slowly away from a 21-21 halftime tie, taking a 34-32 lead in the third period before widening the margin to eight in the fourth.

Nate Gilbert scored 15 for Kennebunk. Tyler Elkington and Austin Sandler added 11 points each.

 

ISLESBORO 38, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 28: Sam Purinton scored 11 points to lead the Lions (0-11) in a loss to the Eagles (2-12) at Islesboro.

 

GORHAM 47, MARSHWOOD 31: Elliott Spiers had eight of his 12 points in the first half to help Gorham (6-9) take command against Marshwood (6-9) at South Berwick.

Nick Greatorex added 11 points and Ryan Sullivan scored 10 for the Rams.

Daniel Veino led the Hawks with 11 points. Brady Innes added 10.

 

BONNY EAGLE 74, BIDDEFORD 61: Dustin Cole scored 31 points, including 17 foul shots, as the Scots (12-3) upended the Tigers (4-11) at Standish.

Ben Malloy added 15 points on five 3-pointers and C.J. Autry scored 12 for Bonny Eagle.

Matt Cote led Biddeford with 15 points.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 78, FREEPORT 29: Walker James-Mallory had 16 points and Bright Amoako added 15 as the Raiders (7-8) downed the Falcons (2-13) at Fryeburg.

 

YARMOUTH 60, GREELY 53: Christian Henry scored 20 points to spark the Clippers (9-6) past the Rangers (8-7) at Yarmouth.

Henry scored 12 in the second quarter, when Yarmouth used a 20-10 run to open a 35-21 halftime lead. David Murphy contributed 17 points for the Clippers.

Mike McDevitt scored 18 points and Conner Hanley added 17 for Greely.

FALMOUTH 70, LAKE REGION 28: Tom Coyne scored all 11 of his points in the second quarter, including three 3-pointers, to help Falmouth (15-0) pull away from Lake Region (4-11) at Naples.

A 25-7 run in the second quarter gave the Yachtsmen a 39-13 halftime lead. Charlie Fay finished with a team-high 18 points and Grant Burfeind added 13 for Falmouth.

 

MEDOMAK VALLEY 65, MARANACOOK 43: John Murray scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Medomak Valley (12-2) against Maranacook (6-9) at Waldoboro.

Ryan Ripley added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kyle Boucher paced Maranacook with 10 points.

GARDINER 52, MORSE 47: Tyler Jamison had 22 points to lead the Tigers (6-9) over the Shipbuilders (5-10) at Bath.

Gardiner scored 13 points in each quarter.

D’Vaughn Myers and Ethan Winglass each scored 11 for Morse.

 

SCARBOROUGH 70, MASSABESIC 45: Scarborough (10-5) took advantage of turnovers to score 36 points in the third quarter and put away Massabesic (1-13) at Waterboro.

Sam Terry, who finished with 14 points, contributed nine points in the third. Dillon Russo led the Red Storm with 18 points.

Caleb Campbell led the Mustangs with 10 points.

 

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 63, HYDE 40: Joe Gildard scored 15 of his 21 points during a 24-4 second-period run, giving the Seagulls (10-4) a 32-15 lead against Hyde (10-3) at Old Orchard Beach.

Quincy Grace added 18 points and Anthony Langella-Laws had 12 for Old Orchard. Evander Lenardson had 12 points, Wilson MacMillan 11 and Warsame Mohamed 11 for the Phoenix.

 

PORTLAND 75, NOBLE 50: Matt Talbot had 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists as Portland (13-2) beat Noble (4-12) at North Berwick.

WATERVILLE 66, CAMDEN HILLS 56: J.P. Michaud had 11 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Purple Panthers (9-5) over Camden Hills (10-4) at Waterville.

 

OCEANSIDE 56, WINSLOW 52: Hunter Grindle scored 18 points as the Mariners (11-3) beat the Black Raiders (12-3) at Winslow.

THE BOYS’ basketball games Wednesday between Portland and Cheverus were moved from Portland High to Southern Maine Community College in South Portland due to fire exit reconstruction and a large anticipated crowd. The start times will remain 4 p.m. for the first team, 5:30 for junior varsity and 7 for varsity.
