PORTLAND – Colin Grove had two goals and an assist to lead Cheverus to a 5-1 victory over Marshwood in an SMAA boys’ soccer match Monday.

Zach Poulin, Joey Smith and Isaac Yeboah each put in a goal for the Stags (1-1).

Noah McDaniel scored for Marshwood (0-3), while Samuel Leathe stopped 15 shots.

YARMOUTH 5, FREEPORT 1: David Clemmer scored twice as the Clippers (2-0-1) cruised past the Falcons (1-2) at Freeport.

Chandler Smith, Adam LaBrie and Wyatt Jackson each contributed a goal.

Jack Davenport scored for Freeport.

WAYNFLETE 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Boni Kabongo’s goal midway through the second half proved decisive as the Flyers (2-0) slipped past the Raiders (2-2) in Fryeburg.

Harry Baker-Connick gave Waynflete a 1-0 halftime lead. Kabongo made it 2-0 before Inago Villas scored for Fryeburg with five minutes left.

Waynflete keeper Milo Belleau and Fryeburg’s Blaine Andreoli each had two saves.

GREELY 1, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Jacob Nason scored with 26:48 left to give the Rangers (2-0-1) a victory over the Patriots (0-3) in Cumberland.

Nason took a through pass from Hunter Graham and went in alone on keeper Brendan McNally. McNally got a piece of Nason’s shot, but the ball caromed off his hand and into the goal.

Alex McAdoo made four saves for Greely. McNally finished with nine saves.

NYA 5, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: D.J. Nicholas scored three goals and assisted on a fourth to lead the Panthers (3-0) past the Rangers (0-4) in Yarmouth.

Mike McIntosh added a goal and two assists. Jeremy Thelven also scored.

Josh Sumner tallied late for the Rangers.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, POLAND 0: Four players scored for the Capers (1-0-1) in a win over the Knights (0-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Eli Breed put Cape Elizabeth on the board less than five minutes into the match. Noah Haversat, Kayne Munson and Eddie Galvin each added a goal.

YORK 8, WELLS 0: Mitchell Hickey had a pair of goals and two assists as the Wildcats (2-0-1) shut out the Warriors (1-2) at York.

SACOPEE VALLEY 9, A.R. GOULD 1: Trey Watson, Ryan Moulton and Matteo Pascucci scored twice each as the Hawks (2-0) beat the Bears (0-2) in South Portland.

Blake Trueworthy, Ernie Allard and Steven Day accounted for the other Sacopee goals. Chris Thomas scored for A.R. Gould, and Dariyin Wolfe stopped 13 shots.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 4, LEAVITT 1: Sam Wilkinson scored two goals to help the Eagles (2-0) pull away from Leavitt (1-3) in South China.

The teams were tied 1-1 before Ryan Rodrigue, Joe York and Wilkinson scored in a four-minute span of the second half.

Burgess Reilly got the lone goal for Leavitt.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 9, OAK HILL 0: Carl Fletcher scored three goals and assisted on four others to lead the Mustangs (3-0) at Monmouth.

Hunter Richardson contributed two goals, while Noah Bates had a goal and an assist. Mason Clement, Josh Neal and Josh Reny also scored.

Kyle Field had 27 saves for the Raiders (0-3).

GIRLS

CAPE ELIZABETH 6, POLAND 1: Katherine Clark scored two goals as the Capers (4-0) downed the Knights (1-2) at Cape Elizabeth.

WAYNFLETE 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Arianna Giguere took a through pass near the goal line and pushed the ball inside the near post early in the second half to send the Flyers (2-0) on their way to a win against the Raiders (1-2) in Fryeburg.

Giguere added a goal midway through the second half. Ella Millard assisted on both goals.

KENNEBUNK 3, LAKE REGION 1: Alyssa Weigle scored twice as the Rams (2-1) pulled away from a 1-1 halftime tie against the Lakers (0-3) in Naples.

Weigle broke the deadlock 15 minutes into the second half, taking a pass from Caroline Hoch and shooting high inside the far post from the right side of the penalty area. Weigle converted another pass from Hoch to score from the same spot 10 minutes later.

Sierra Tartre also scored for Kennebunk and Kyra Schwartzman made nine saves. Lake Region got a goal from Melody Millett and 17 saves from Isabel Scribner.

SACOPEE VALLEY 4, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: McKenzie Murphy notched a goal and three assists to spark the Hawks (2-1) past the Seagulls (0-3) at Old Orchard Beach.

Abby Dubois put Old Orchard Beach ahead nine minutes into the match before Murphy found Morgan Sanborn for the tying goal 10 minutes later.

Kayla Brown added a goal and an assist, and Courtney Ryan rounded out the scoring for Sacopee.

YARMOUTH 1, FREEPORT 0: Emma Torres scored with eight minutes left on an assist from Cory Langenbach as the Yachtsmen (1-1) defeated the Falcons (1-2) at Yarmouth.

WELLS 1, YORK 1: Amanda Deshaies scored for Wells (1-2-1) and Shannon Todd tied the game for York (1-2-1) with seven minutes left in regulation at Wells.

CONY 1, LAWRENCE 0: Emily Quirion scored with 13:20 remaining to lift the Rams (3-0) to a victory in Augusta.

Hayley Quirion assisted on the goal.
