Scott Chubbock, a veteran driver from Bowdoin, took advantage of an extended break in PASS North’s racing schedule to take his Pro Stock out of mothballs.

Last Saturday night, Chubbock, who is working in the pits this summer for the Falmouth-based Mulkern Racing Team on the regional racing tour, picked up his first win in 10 years in a 40-lap feature at the recently reopened Wiscasset Speedway.

“I just wanted to go over and see what I could do,” he said. “I don’t know when I’ll race there again,”

The Pro Stocks are not scheduled to run at Wiscasset this Saturday night, and the PASS North races are scheduled for the next two Saturday nights.

PASS North’s Super Late Models will end five weeks of inactivity Sunday afternoon at Oxford Plains Speedway.

The 150-lap race was added to the schedule after rain forced the cancellation of a May 25 race at White Mountain Motor-sports Park in North Woodstock, N.H., and a June 8 race at Speedway 660 in Geary, New Brunswick.
