Tom Bottomley, Cape Elizabeth senior: Placed eighth in Class B last fall after taking fourth in Western Maine. The top returning runner for a team that qualified for the New Englands.

Chase Brown, Boothbay Region senior: Runner-up to Matt McClintock of Madison in both the Western Maine and Class C state meets. Led the Seahawks to their first cross country state title.

Chris Dunn, Kennebunk senior: Placed sixth in the Western Class A meet and 16th in the state meet last fall. Third-best time at the SMAA Relays.

Silas Eastman, Fryeburg Academy junior: Defending Class B state champion and returning Maine Sunday Telegram MVP for cross country. Placed 20th in the New Englands as the only sophomore among the top 40.

Mitchell Finitz, York senior: Seventh in Class B last fall and seventh in the Western Maine regional. Third in the opening race last weekend at Falmouth.

Tim Follo, Falmouth senior: Sixth in Class B as a sophomore, runner-up as a junior to lead Falmouth to second overall in Class B. Also placed second to Eastman in Western Maine.

Nick Morris, Scarborough senior: Returning Class A Western Maine and state champion. Good finishing speed, as evidenced by his indoor 800-meter state title and the top time at the SMAA Relays.

Bryant Perkins, Sanford senior: Fourteenth in Class A last fall and fourth in Western Maine. Placed 80th at the New England championships, the eighth Maine runner across the line.

Jack Pierce, Merriconeag junior: Fourth in Class C last fall and third in Western Maine. Runner-up to Brown in the season opener last week.

Andy Reifman-Packett, Mt. Ararat senior: Class A runner-up to Morris who also placed second in the indoor mile. Finished among the top 50 (42nd) in New England.Brittany Bowman, Camden Hills sophomore, Third in Class B as a freshman after placing fourth in the Eastern Maine regional. Also won the KVAC Class B championship.

Shannon Conley, Cheverus sophomore: Placed fourth in the Class A meet and 19th in New England, behind only two other Maine runners.

Emily Durgin, Cheverus senior: Three-time Class A and two-time New England runner-up. As a sophomore, won the New England title and reached the Foot Locker national finals.

Fiona Hendry, Cheverus senior: Third in Class A. Two-time all-New England runner who has placed ninth, 13th and 44th in the five-state meet. Helped Cheverus win back-to-back state titles.

Abbey Leonardi, Kennebunk senior: Three-time defending Class A state champion and two-time Foot Locker national finalist. Won the New England title in her only attempt, as a freshman.

Katie McMahon, Brunswick senior: Seventh in Class A and 22nd in New England last fall. Placed among the top 50 at the Foot Locker Northeast Regional. KVAC Class A champion.

Charlotte Pierce, Thornton Academy junior: Eighth in Class A last fall. Led Massabesic to a pair of New England championship appearances before transferring to Thornton.

Nyajock Pan, South Portland junior: Traditionally a slow starter who comes on strong as the season progresses. Placed sixth in Class A last fall.

Kirstin Sandreuter, Greely sophomore: Runner-up in Western Class B and fifth in the state. Opened the league season with two-minute victory in a four-school meet.

Emma Wood, Mt. Ararat senior: Fifth in Class A and runner-up in Eastern Maine. Led the Eagles to a regional title. Currently recovering from a stress fracture.
