WINDHAM – Nate Boyle tripled home Eli Williams in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to give Windham a 6-5 win over Bonny Eagle in an SMAA baseball game.

Calvin Field singled with one out in the seventh, stole second and scored the tying run on Shawn Francoeur’s single. Williams ran for Francoeur, who finished with three RBI.

Field had an RBI and two runs scored, and Jack Herzig had a pair of hits with two runs and an RBI for Windham (9-1).

Tom Hazelton had three hits and drove in a run for Bonny Eagle (3-6).

 

SANFORD 8, NOBLE 0: Ryan Camire allowed three hits over six innings as the Spartans (4-5) beat the Knights (2-8) in Sanford.

Camire doubled and scored on Jed Scott’s single for a 1-0 lead in the first. Jimmy Parks and Colby Perigo each drove home two runs and scored once as Sanford added four runs in the third and three in the fifth.

 

SCARBOROUGH 6, DEERING 1: Nate Wessel struck out 11 over seven innings of one-hit ball for the Red Storm (9-0) against the Rams (1-9) at Scarborough.

Wessel did not allow a hit until David Fowler singled leading off the seventh. But catcher Sam Wessel picked off Fowler before his brother struck out the next two batters.

Sam Wessel hit a two-run single during a two-run third, and Sam Perry had a two-run single during a three-run fifth.

CHEVERUS 8, BIDDEFORD 4: Mitchell Powers and Ryan Casale knocked in two runs each in the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie as the Stags (5-5) defeated the Tigers (2-8) at Biddeford.

Casey Twomey hit a solo home run in the fourth for Biddeford.

Powers (2-2) finished with nine strikeouts.

 

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, KENNEBUNK 3: Alex Fallon doubled home a run and scored on Cam Jackman’s single as the Trojans (5-5) scored three times in the fifth to open a 5-1 lead over Kennebunk (2-8) in Saco.

Jeff Gelinas hit a solo home run in the second inning and also scored during the fifth.

Kip Richard had a single and a double for Kennebunk.

 

SACOPEE VALLEY 11, RICHMOND 0: The Hawks (4-7) collected 19 hits en route to a nonconference win over the Bobcats (4-4) at Richmond.

Kyle Jordan had a triple and a single, and Nick York and Roderick Maynard also two hits apiece for Sacopee Valley.

 

VALLEY SWEEPS FOREST HILLS: Dylan Belanger and Cody Laweryson each struck out nine in complete-game victories as the Cavaliers (7-0) swept the Tigers (6-5) in Jackman, 10-3 and 11-0.

Belanger pitched a six-hitter in the opener, and Laweryson threw a one-hitter in Game 2.
