It's a road trip rife with seasonal cheer and acts of kindness that the Red Sox brought to the Briarwood Children's House in Lyman late Tuesday morning.
Sox pitchers Mark Melancon and Chris Carpenter, outfielder Ryan Kalish, Wally the Green Monster and front-office staffers entertained the children at the day care center on the Maine leg of a three-day, six-state holiday trip.
The event concludes with a weekend of free activities at Fenway Park, which becomes a winter wonderland. Fans are encouraged to RSVP at redsox.com/holidays.
