Girls' Roundup: Greely escapes challenge from Kennebunk, 5-4

KENNEBUNK - Allie Morrill scored with 10 minutes remaining Wednesday night and Greely went on to a 5-4 victory against Kennebunk in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl soccer game.

Morrill scored from the top of the 18.

Izzy Hutnak scored twice for the Rangers (7-2), who also got goals from Jocelyn Mitiguy and Kristina Volta.

Maddy Aromando and Sierra Tartre each scored twice for the Rams (2-6-1). 

BIDDEFORD 3, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Cassie Ellis, Logan Kadlec and Lexi Paquette scored for the Tigers (6-1-1) against the Red Riots (0-8) at Biddeford. 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2, POLAND 0: Ori Inirio scored the opening goal with five minutes left in the first half and Sydney Charles made six saves to record the shutout as the Raiders (3-3-2) downed the Knights (4-4) at Fryeburg. 

GORHAM 3, SANFORD 0: Morgan Cushing opened the scoring from her twin sister, Meghan, as the Rams (6-2) beat the Spartans (2-6) at Gorham. 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, LAKE REGION 0: Julia Martell set up a goal by Emily Hotham in the first half and scored one in the second, leading the Patriots (3-5) past the Lakers (0-7-1) at Gray. 

VINALHAVEN 2, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 0: Sarah James and Eliza Davidson scored as the Vikings (4-5) beat the Lions (0-6) at South Portland. 

SCARBOROUGH 5, MASSABESIC 0: Aly Atherton scored in the first half, and the Red Storm (7-0-1) added four in the second to beat the Mustangs (3-4) at Waterboro. 

MCAULEY 4, NOBLE 3: Ayla Tartre scored with nine minutes remaining to cap a back-and-forth match, giving the Lions (3-5) the edge on the Knights (0-7-1) at North Berwick. 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1, WAYNFLETE 1: Alex Wahlstrom tied it for the Panthers (4-3-2) with just over a minute left in regulation against Waynflete (5-1-2) at Yarmouth. 

TRAIP ACADEMY 3, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: Ali Barrett scored her second goal of the game on a header with less than five minutes left to lift the Rangers (4-6) over the Seagulls (0-8) at Old Orchard Beach. 

THORNTON ACADEMY 7, CHEVERUS 1: Amanda Arnold had two goals and three assists as the Trojans (7-1) cruised past the Stags (1-6-1) at Saco. 

WINDHAM 7, BONNY EAGLE 0: Jenna Soucy scored two goals and assisted on two others as the Eagles (8-0) cruised past the Scots (0-7-1) at Windham. 

YORK 0, YARMOUTH 0: Emma Rohrer made 12 saves for York (3-4-2) and Shannon Fallon stopped four shots for the Clippers (4-2-2) at Yarmouth. 

MARSHWOOD 4, PORTLAND 0: Sydney Jackman had a goal and an assist, Hannah Folger chipped in two assists and Marshwood (6-2) used two goals in each half to beat the Bulldogs (3-4-1) at Portland.

SCARBOROUGH 10, BIDDEFORD 1: Maddy Dobecki and Kristen Murray scored twice, and Murray also had an assist as the Red Storm (10-0) beat the Tigers (6-4) at Biddeford. 

SANFORD 2, BONNY EAGLE 0: Tallyn Brown assisted on a goal by Emily Salls in the first half and added a goal in the final minutes of the game as the Spartans (4-6) downed the Scots (4-4-2) at Standish. 

MASSABESIC 5, DEERING 0: Jackie Guillemette and Emma Desrochers combined to score all five goals for the Mustangs (9-1) against the Rams (2-7-1) at Portland. 

GORHAM 1, MARSHWOOD 0: Charlotte Smith tipped in a cross from Darcie Brown with 18 seconds left in the first overtime as the Rams (5-4-1) edged the Hawks (7-3) at Gorham. 

PORTLAND 9, MCAULEY 0: Lauren McIntyre had two goals and two assists, Gabrielle Wagabaza also scored twice and the visiting Bulldogs (3-7) beat McAuley (0-10) at Portland. 

WELLS 1, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Maddie Moulison scored off a corner and the Warriors (4-5) beat the Hawks (0-7-1) at South Hiram. 

WESTBROOK 5, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Abby St. Clair scored twice and Siobhan Foley had three assists as the Blue Blazes (6-4) cruised past the Red Riots (2-8) at Westbrook. 

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, WINDHAM 0: Morgan Dube scored following a penalty corner to break a scoreless tie early in the second half as the Trojans (7-3) pulled away from the Eagles (4-6) at Windham.

YARMOUTH 3, CONY 1: Grace Mallett finished with 10 service points and three aces to lead the Clippers (7-1) over the Rams at Yarmouth.
