WINDHAM – Meghan Gribbin scored 26 points Thursday night to lead Windham to a 46-43 victory against Sanford in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolgirl basketball game.

Gribbin sank two free throws and Diandra Berthiaume added another in the closing seconds to blunt a Sanford rally that sliced an eight-point Eagles lead to two. The free throws pushed the lead back to 46-41 with 10 seconds to play.

Brianna Butts added 12 points for Windham (12-4). Heather LeBlanc scored 11 points for the Redskins (7-7).

MADISON 54, WISCASSET 29: Kirstin Wood scored 13 points and Alexandria Jarvais added 10 to lead the Bulldogs (13-3) past Wiscasset (2-14) at Madison.

Madison started with an effective press defense, limiting the Redskins to five points in the first quarter and six in the second on the way to a 29-11 halftime lead.

Kayla Connors led Wiscasset with 14 points.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 36, HEBRON ACADEMY 20: Elaine Beech scored 16 points and Suzanne Gonzalez added 11 for the Lions (7-6) against the Lumberjacks (1-14) at Hebron.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

BOOTHBAY REGION 74, LISBON 37: Anthony DiMauro scored 12 first-quarter points to help the Seahawks (12-4) to a 28-8 lead against Lisbon (1-16) at Boothbay Harbor.

DiMauro finished with 17 points.

Andrew Smith scored 12 points for the Greyhounds.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 72, SACOPEE VALLEY 31: Andrew Fleury scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures for Old Orchard Beach (9-6), which took command in the second quarter and beat the Hawks (4-10) at South Hiram.

Jeremy Legere added 13 points, Anthony Langella-Laws had 11 and Quincy Grace scored 10 for the Seagulls, who led 12-6 after the first quarter, 33-15 at the half and 45-24 through three.

Jeff Taylor led Sacopee with 14 points.

CONY 63, MT. ARARAT 49: Walker Cooper had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Cony (6-10) over Mt. Ararat (2-14) at Augusta.

Zack Lachance scored 15 points and Josiah Hayward added 11 for the Rams.

Josh Wright led Mt. Ararat with 12 points.

MADISON 74, WISCASSET 67: Austin Kane scored 18 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Bulldogs (9-7) rally past the Wolverines (9-7) at Madison.

Devin Grover led Wiscasset with 27 points. Jordan Jones added 21.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

CHEVERUS 6, FRYEBURG/LAKE REGION 0: Sterling Weatherbie scored two goals for the Stags (7-3) against the Ice Cats (5-6) at Portland.

Cheverus went ahead 3-0 in the first period on goals by Tommy Sullivan, Andrew McGillivray and Cameron McLain. Harry Ridge scored in the second.

Pavle Stephanovic made 61 saves for Fryeburg/Lake Region.

PORTLAND/DEERING 10, CHEVERUS 4: Drew Barry scored three goals, and Kylie Dalbec and Raechel Allen each had two goals and two assists for the visiting Bulldogs (8-8) against the Stags (7-10) at Portland.

Nicola DiPietro also scored twice for Portland/Deering. Katie Roy had a hat trick for Cheverus.
