Marshwood High assistant football coach Richard Goulet was named this year's winner of the Crozier Award by the Southwestern Maine Board of Football Officials at their end-of-season banquet in Portland on Nov. 2.

The award recognizes selflessness and dedication to youth involved in football in the state.
Goulet joined the Marshwood program in 1979 and has served under five head coaches. The team has won eight state championships during his tenure.
Morghan McAleney of Cape Elizabeth was named to the USA women's team handball pool.
A 2007 graduate of McAuley High, McAleney is a member of the handball team at Army, where she is a senior cadet.
Holden Parker of Livermore and Allison Hammond of Rangeley were named Maine's winners of the Wendy's High School Heisman Award.
Winners were selected based on their achievements in athletics, academics and community leadership.
Deering High student Kristin Pollard was one of 20 Maine finalists.
