Karol L'Heureux, the women's volleyball coach at the University of New England, will be inducted into the Maine Sports Legends Hall of Honor on Sunday, Oct. 7, at the YMCA of Greater Waterville.
Susan Wiemer of Freeport was a multiple medal winner at the USA Masters Track and Field Championships, including a victory in the shot put in the 45-49 age group.

L'Heureux, a Sanford native, is entering her 33rd season as UNE's volleyball coach and ranks 12th all time among NCAA Division III coaches with 623 wins.
Her teams have won 12 conference titles and have made two appearances at national championships.
L'Heureux also served as athletic director from 1980-2006, and coached women's basketball for 14 seasons and softball for eight seasons.
As a high school athlete, L'Heureux participated in basketball, track and field and bowling, and was a state champion in the high jump.
She went on to earn all-state honors in basketball and volleyball at UMaine-Presque Isle, and was into the UMPI Hall of Fame in 1996.
Two Maine athletes earned multiple medals at the USA Masters Track and Field Championships, held Aug. 2-5 at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill.
Susan Wiemer, 46, of Freeport, won the shot put in the 45-49 age group with a throw of 30 feet, 11 3/4 inches.
She also was on two victorious relay teams -- the 4x100 meters (58.70) and the shuttle hurdles (58.84).
Sue McCarthy, 49, of South Portland placed second in the 100 (13.52) and 200 (28.17) and joined Wiemer on the 4x100 relay team. She also finished fourth in the 400 (1:06.10).
Martha LaRiviere, 60, of North Waterboro, was fourth in the 60-64 division in the hammer throw (89-6), and Steven Pelletier, 61, of Kennebunk placed fourth in the javelin (133-3).
Kathi O'Grady made a hole-in-one on the 142-yard fifth hole at The Woodlands Club on Aug. 19.
O'Grady used a 6-hybrid for the shot, which was witnessed by Laurie Hyndman.
