Isabel Dawson and Henry Westphal of Portland were among the age-group winners at the Elks Hoop Shoot state championship, held Sunday at Bangor High School.

Dawson finished first in the girls' 10-11 division, and Westphal won the boys' 10-11 division.
Other winners were: Jaycie Christopher of Skowhegan, girls' 8-9; Connor Marquis of Pittsfield, boys' 8-9; Sydney Leblanc of Madison, girls' 12-13; and Colby Esty of Skowhegan, boys' 12-13.
The six winners advance to the New England championships March 23 at Gorham Middle School.
Jack Leggett, a former baseball and football standout at the University of Maine, will be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in a ceremony on Jan. 3, 2014 in Dallas.
Leggett is currently the head coach at Clemson.
In 33 seasons with Vermont, Western Carolina and the Tigers, he has 1,224 wins, which ranks 14th in NCAA Division I history and sixth among active coaches.
Leggett is a 1976 graduate of Maine.
He was captain of the 1976 baseball team that reached the College World Series.
