Henry Westphal and Isabel Dawson of Portland and Jaycie Christopher of Madison were among the six division winners Saturday at the Elks New England Regional Hoop Shoot championships at Gorham Middle School.
Henry, the 2011 national champion for boys ages 8 and 9, finished first in the boys’ 10-11 division.
Isabel won her second New England title in three years, placing first among 10-11 girls, and Jaycie made 24 of 25 shots to win the girls’ 8-9 division.
Other division winners were Emily Haskell of North Attleboro, Mass., 12-13 girls; Dante Rodriguez of New Britain, Conn., 8-9 boys; and Cody Morissette of Portsmouth, N.H., 12-13 boys.
Sydney LeBlanc of Madison finished third in the girls’ 12-13 division; Colby Esty of Skowhegan was third for 12-13 boys, and Connor Marquis of Pittsfield placed fifth for 8-9 boys.
The division winners qualified for the national finals April 20 at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
