Maine Milestones

Ken Rowe scored a hole-in-one on the 130-yard 15th hole at Biddeford-Saco Country Club on June 19. He used a 7-iron for the shot, which was witnessed by Carl Parisien, Cliff Bolster and Tom Burke.

The 12U Maine Dirt Dogs AAU baseball team finished an undefeated season by winning the New England championship on Saturday. The team includes players from Saco, Gorham and Scarborough. The Seacoast United Maine U18 girls’ soccer team won the Maine State Cup Championship with a 1-0 victory over the MCU Portland Phoenix Elite. Ted Cianchette Jr. made a hole-in-one on the 146-yard sixth hole at Nonesuch River Golf Club on June 19. Witnesses were Bill Harmon and Jeff Frederick.


Shawn Boulet aced the sixth hole at Spring Meadows Golf Course on June 20. His shot was witnessed by Dan Boulet and Jack Maloney.


Dan Roche of Arundel aced the 11th hole at Dutch Elm Golf Course on June 20. Roche used an 8-iron for the 156-yard shot, which was seen by Keith Lefebvre, Trevor Nugent and Sean Dowd.
