Maine Milestones

Munro Dodge of Boothbay Harbor scored his sixth career hole-in-one on July 20 at the Boothbay Harbor Country Club. Dodge used a 4-wood to make the shot on the 166-yard seventh hole.

Scarborough’s 11-12 softball All-Star team won the Little League state championship on July 12 in Rockland and went on to compete in the Eastern Regional at Bristol, Conn., where it finished with a 2-3 record. Bill Welch used a 7-iron to notch his first hole-in-one, acing the 173-yard fourth hole at Martindale Country Club in Auburn on Aug. 26.

Welch was playing with Brenda Welch, Steve Bartlett and Nina Bartlett.

 

Dave Goyet aced the second hole at Dunegrass Golf Club in Old Orchard Beach Aug. 30. Goyet used a 6-iron for the 170-yard shot.

 

Billie Davis made a hole-in-one on Aug. 30 on the 13th hole at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, using an 8-iron from 95 yards. Her playing partner was Sue-Ellen Clark.
