NORTH BERWICK – Henry Hintermeister scored in the first half Tuesday and Noble went on to a 1-0 victory against Portland in an SMAA boys’ soccer game.

Josh Emerd set up the goal with a 10-yard square pass to Hintermeister, who was just inside the penalty area to provide the goal for the Knights (3-0) against the Bulldogs (2-1).

BONNY EAGLE 4, THORNTON ACADEMY 2: James Patchell and Ryan Moody each had two goals as the Scots (3-1) downed the Golden Trojans (0-3) at Standish.

Patchell scored 9:20 before halftime, then midway through the second half following a pass from Pradeep Buch.

Moody scored unassisted eight minutes into the first half, then with 2:27 left in the second off an assist from Patchell.

Tyler Lebel and Dan Marsh answered for Thornton.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 2, MT. VIEW 1: Ryan Rodrigue scored the winning goal off a corner kick with 26:29 left as Erskine Academy (2-1) beat Mt. View (2-2) at South China.

Erskine took the lead in the first half on a goal by Trevor Hubbard. Mt. View tied it eight minutes into the second on a goal by Vittorio Frascolino from Bryan Jungels.

SCARBOROUGH 4, MARSHWOOD 0: Wyatt Omsberg, Matt Caron, Noah Stracqualursi and Austin Doody scored for the Red Storm (2-1) against the Hawks (0-4) at South Berwick.

Four others earned assists: Ian Corey, Sam Cekada, Max Ornstein and Andrew Morrissey.

Cam Nigro and Pat Stanton each played a half and had one save for Scarborough.

SANFORD 4, MASSABESIC 2: Mitch Duncan’s second goal of the game broke a 2-2 tie with 27:44 left as the Spartans (1-3) beat Massabesic (0-4) at Sanford.

Tanner McFarland set up the tie-breaking goal, running down the right wing and crossing the ball to the waiting Duncan to lift into the left corner of the net.

Evyn Nolette scored his second goal of the game, with nine minutes to play, to make it 4-2.

Noah Sawtelle and Dawson Renaud scored for the Mustangs.

Tylar Burgess had four saves for Sanford; Andrew Wicklund made nine for Massabesic.

SOUTH PORTLAND 3, WESTBROOK 1: Danny Fox had a goal and an assist as the Red Riots (2-2) opened a 3-0 halftime lead against Westbrook (3-1) at South Portland.

Robert Graff opened the scoring 9:50 into the game off Calvin Cronin’s free kick. Ahmed Suja made it 2-0 before Fox added his goal. Luther Williams scored for the Blue Blazes.

Henry Curran had three saves for South Portland, and Austin Blake six for Westbrook.

GIRLS

BRUNSWICK 4, MESSALONSKEE 0: Caley Nicholson scored twice as the Dragons (2-2) beat Messalonskee (0-3) at Brunswick.

Anna Cowan and Kassidy Scarponi each had a goal and an assist, and Alicia Davis added two assists.

Haley Murano stopped five shots for Brunswick. Kealy Douglass had 10 saves for the Eagles.

MORSE 4, GARDINER 0: Miracle Trimble scored twice, and Ruth Nadeau and Amanda Gagne once each as Morse (4-0) shut out the Tigers (1-4) at Gardiner.

Nadeau opened the scoring after three minutes, pushing a loose ball into an empty net after it got away from the keeper. Trimble’s penalty kick made it 2-0 before the half. Gagne scored with seven minutes left on a through ball after a Baylie Cram interception, and Trimble completed the scoring with a header off Lauren Pelletier’s cross.

BIDDEFORD 4, MCAULEY 1: The Tigers (3-0-1) scored twice in each half to beat McAuley (1-3) at Portland.

Shaina Speight and Cassie Ellis provided first-half scores. After Ayla Tartre answered for the Lions early in the second half, Cassie Channel and Kelley Gendron scored for Biddeford.

MT. ARARAT 2, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Libby Ouellette headed in the tying goal for Mt. Ararat (5-0) with 25 minutes left and Nikki Bradstreet added the winner at 21:08 to beat Edward Little (1-2) at Topsham.

YARMOUTH 1, YORK 0: Abby Belisle Haley scored off Lilly Watson’s corner kick two minutes into the game and Yarmouth (2-1) defeated the Wildcats (1-2-1) at York.

Shannon Fallon had eight saves for York. Emma Rohrer stopped five shots for the Clippers.

WATERVILLE 7, LINCOLN ACADEMY 0: Lydia Roy scored three goals to lead the Purple Panthers (5-0) over the Eagles (2-2) at Waterville.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 8, BOOTHBAY REGION 0: Haley Fletcher scored three goals, and Sammy Grandahl had two to pace the host Mustangs (3-1) over Boothbay Region (0-3).
