NEXT RACE: Saturday, 150 laps, at Sanair Super Speedway, St. Pie, Quebec

On Sunday afternoon, the tour's Super Late Models are scheduled to run 150 laps at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Wolfeboro, N.H.

On Tuesday night, the SLMs will run a 150-lap race on the quarter-mile, banked oval at Autodrome Chaudiere at Vallee Jounction, Quebec.

Logistically, the quick turnaround would appear to be a nightmare for racing crews, but most of the top drivers on the PASS North tour own two cars. They will drive a different car in each race.

"We don't have a second car so we had to borrow one," said Travis Benjamin, the reigning PASS North champion from Morrill.

On Sunday, Benjamin, second in points on the tour, will drive a car at the New Hampshire track normally used by Matt Frahm in the Granite State Series.

On Tuesday in Canada, Benjamin will drive the same Super Late Model that carried him to a win in the TD Bank 250 two weeks ago.

"Borrowing a car for Sunday was our only option," Benjamin said. "It's tough to turn around a car in one day. It's virtually impossible."

In the Canadian race, the PASS North drivers will race against a Sprint Cup driver, Kyle Busch, the 2011 TD Bank 250 winner.

"I've raced against him quite a few times through the years," said D.J. Shaw, a 23-year-old PASS North driver from Center Conway, N.H.

"Whenever he gets with the local drivers, he makes us look stupid. Hopefully we can put a stop to that."

AUSTIN THERIAULT, a 19-year-old from Fort Kent, continues to impress while driving a Super Late Model for Brad Keselowski Racing.

Less than a week after finishing fourth at the TD Bank 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway, Theriault was fifth in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Night Of Stars 100 at the Lucas Oil Raceway Park in Salem, Ind.

It was his sixth consecutive top-six finish in the Keselowski Racing car.

"It's not a bad thing we're doing," he said. "It allows us to build on something when you're not wrecking cars and can finish Top-5's every week.

"Now we just have to work on being able to turn Top-5s into wins."

TRAVIS STEARNS, a 28-year-old from Auburn, raced to his first podium finish last Sunday in his first season driving a Late Model on the ACT tour.

Stearns finished second in a 150-lap race held at Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt.

"We've been kind of disappointed up to this point," he said. "It was what we needed. It's what we expected of us."

The runner-up to Shawn Martin of Turner for the track championship at Oxford Plains Speedway last season, Stearns has been plagued with bad luck in his first season driving on the regional tour for Richard Green Racing.

"You name it and it's happened to us," he said. "We've been wrecked. We've run into other people's wrecks. We've had some things break on us."
