PORTLAND — The Portland Pirates have traded forward Joel Rechlicz to the Hershey Bears in exchange for left wing Matt Clackson.

In an unrelated move, the Pirates signed Justin Feser, a 5-9, 190-pound forward, to an amateur tryout contract.

In 36 games with the Pirates, the 6-4, 230-pound Rechlicz had a team-high 149 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of  minus- 7. A native of Brookfield, Wis for ., he rejoins the Bears after spending most of the last two seasons with them. 

Clackson, a 6-0, 205-pound forward from Pittsburgh, is in his sixth AHL season. In 19 games with the Bears this season, he has a goal, two assists and 36 penalty minutes. Previously, Clackson has played for the Adirondack Phantoms and the Chicago Wolves.

In 72 games with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League, Feser, 20, scored 44 goals and had 62 assists to rank fourth in scoring in the junior hockey league.

In five seasons with the Americans. Feser, who was undrafted, had 155 goals and 353 assists along with 183 penalty minutes in 351 games.
