WESTBROOK — Elizabeth Donato and Merritt Ryan scored 12 points each Tuesday night to lead Portland to a 41-40 victory against Westbrook in an SMAA schoolgirl basketball game at Warren Gym.
Chelsea Rairdon scored 15 points and Paige Baldwin added 13 for Westbrook (0-12) against the Bulldogs (3-9).
Westbrook missed a last-second shot.
HYDE 57, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 37: Kara Fischer scored 22 points to lead the Phoenix (12-0) over the Panthers (2-9) at Bath.
Diamond Brown added 13 points with 11 rebounds, and Shannon Ward finished with 10 points for Hyde.
SCARBOROUGH 65, KENNEBUNK 23: Ashley Briggs scored 14 points with seven assists and nine steals for the Red Storm (10-3) against the Rams (2-11) at Kennebunk.
Briggs scored eight points in the first quarter as Scarborough built a 19-7 lead.
Mary Redmond added 11 points, followed by Marisa O'Toole with nine and Courtney Alofs with eight.
SACOPEE VALLEY 38, HEBRON ACADEMY 18: Abigail Hughes scored 10 points and the Hawks (5-7) used an 18-2 run in the second quarter to pull away from the Lumberjacks (3-6) at Hebron.
Morgan Sanborn added nine points and Dakota Miner had eight for Sacopee, which led 34-9 at halftime.
Liv Brown led Hebron with 10 points.
LINCOLN ACADEMY 43, MT. VIEW 29: Jennifer Genthner finished with nine points and nine rebounds, and Leslie Sandefur added six points, eight rebounds and four steals to lead the Eagles (5-7) past the Mustangs (2-10) at Newcastle.
Hayden Campbell added six points and five steals for Lincoln.
Janelle Thornley paced Mt. View with 14 points.
HYDE 71, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 52: Warsame Mohamed scored 30 points and Ryan Cassidy added 20 as the Phoenix (10-0) handled the Panthers (4-9) at Yarmouth.
Hyde built a 23-9 lead in the first quarter, then used a 18-9 run in the third to make it 60-36.
Chase Gendron had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Panthers.
DEERING 69, WINDHAM 34: Labson Abwoch scored 22 points and the Rams (12-1) broke it open in the second half against the Eagles (4-9) at Portland.
Abwoch scored 13 points during a 19-6 run in the third quarter that put the Rams ahead 49-27.
Medhane Halefom had eight points to lead nine other Deering players with at least one basket. Connor Flynn had eight points for Windham.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 71, A.R. GOULD 56: Quincy Grace scored seven of his team-high 22 points during an 18-8 third-quarter run that helped the Seagulls (7-4) defeat the Bears (6-5) at Old Orchard Beach.
Jim Strohm finished with 16 points, Joe Gildard had 15, and Anthony Langella-Laws added eight points and 10 rebounds for Old Orchard, which led 38-37 at halftime after trailing by six in the first quarter.
