PHANTOM NOTES: Former Philadelphia Flyers goalie Michael Leighton, who has started nine of 13 games for the Phantoms, made 35 saves in a 3-0 win against the Pirates at the Civic Center on Oct. 16. Left wing Garrett Roe had a goal and an assist. Right wing Jason Akeson has a two-game points streak. The Phantoms are 4-2 on the road.
PIRATES NOTES: With their 4-2 win Saturday night against Providence, the Pirates snapped a three-game losing streak at home. Veteran defenseman Nathan Oystrick has a four-game points streak, and Andy Miele has a three-game points streak. In winning his last two starts, Justin Pogge has a 1.50 goals-against average. With a success rate of 87.7, the Pirates are second in the AHL in penalty killing.
