BRUINS NOTES: The AHL’s hottest team, Providence has gone 19-4-0-2 since Jan. 25. The Bruins are 5-3-0-1 against the Pirates this season. In eight games against the Pirates, Ryan Spooner has four goals and six assists. Since joining Providence on Jan. 12, Graham Mink, who spent four seasons with the Pirates, has seven goals and nine assists in 26 games.

PIRATES NOTES: The Pirates, three points ahead of the Connecticut Whale in the race for the fifth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, have lost seven of their last 10 games. In seven games since his return from the Phoenix Coyotes, defenseman David Rundblad has two goals and five assists. Nick Johnson, who also recently rejoined the Pirates, has a three-game points streak. In six games against the Bruins, rookie Jordan Martinook has four goals and an assist.
