FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Chris Wright slammed home the winning basket with a half-second left on the clock, giving the Maine Red Claws a 92-91 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in a D-League game Friday night at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

Wright came off a pick at the top of the key and dunked an alley-oop pass from Corey Allmond.

Wright finished with 19 points as did Romeo Osby and Frank Gaines.

Chris Babb led Maine with 20 points and nine rebounds.

Maine led 85-70 with about eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, but the Mad Ants cut it to 90-89 on a 3-pointer by Anthony Harris with 49 seconds left.

Harris, who finished with 13 points, put Fort Wayne ahead 91-90 on a jumper with 1.7 seconds left, but that lead proved short-lived indeed.

Fort Wayne’s Ron Howard led all scorers with 27 points.
