TWILIGHT LEAGUE: Kevin Chamberlain pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts as Aero Heating beat Dead River 3-0 at Deering Oaks in Portland.

Mike Collar drove in Travis Adams with sacrifice fly in the fourth, and Scott Nappi singled home Lincoln Sanborn to give Aero Heating (12-10) a 2-0 lead against Dead River (11-11).

junior legion: Second-seeded Lewiston faces third-seeded Westbrook, and top-seeded Windham meets No. 4 Yarmouth as the championship round of the Junior Legion state tournament gets under way today at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach.

The double-elimination tournament continues through Monday.

FOOTBALL: Bowdoin junior wide receiver Pat Noone has been named a second-team preseason All-American by D3football.com.
