PREMIER DEVELOPMENT: The Ottawa Fury scored two goals in extra time to beat the visiting Portland Phoenix 3-2 in the first round of the league playoffs.

Ottawa advanced to the four-team Eastern Conference finals.

After Eddie Campbell scored for Ottawa in the 66th minute, Eric Anderson tied it for the Phoenix with three minutes left in regulation. Will Beauge gave the Fury a 2-1 lead on a penalty kick in overtime and Alex Rodriguez made it 3-1 before the Phoenix scored in the final minute.
