Marc Gasol chipped in 14 points as the Grizzlies continued the best start in franchise history by winning their sixth straight game. They took control by outscoring Oklahoma City by 21 in the second quarter and never gave it up.

Kevin Durant scored a season-high 34 points, and Russell Westbrook had 17 points and 13 assists as both logged more than 42 minutes for the second straight game for Oklahoma City while trying to lead a fourth-quarter comeback.

The Thunder had their five-game winning streak snapped.

PISTONS 94, 76ERS 76: Greg Monroe had 19 points, 18 rebounds and six assists at Philadelphia to help Detroit to its first win of the season.

Kyle Singler scored 16 points, and Tayshaun Prince and Brandon Knight each scored 15 for a Detroit (1-8) team off to its worst start in franchise history. Playing their seventh road game out of nine games this season, the Pistons controlled the lethargic Sixers from the opening tip.

BUCKS 99, PACERS 85: Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis scored 16 points each to help Milwaukee cruise at home.

Beno Udrih had nine points, 10 assists and six rebounds for the Bucks, who shot 42 percent from the field and improved to 2-2 at home.

ROCKETS 100, HORNETS 96: James Harden scored 30 points, Omer Asik added 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Houston held on at home.

Harden went 10 of 20 from the field but only 1 of 7 from 3-point range. He reached 30 points for the third time in seven games with the Rockets.

MAVERICKS 107, WIZARDS 101: Chris Kaman scored 23 points and had eight rebounds in only his second start for Dallas, which held on at home.

O.J. Mayo had 25 points as the Mavericks snapped a three-game losing streak since Kaman's only other start.

BOBCATS 89, TIMBERWOLVES 87: Kemba Walker's jumper with 0.7 seconds left lifted Charlotte at Minneapolis.

Walker finished with 22 points, five assists and four rebounds, and his 19-footer over the outstretched arm of Alexey Shved helped the Bobcats to their first three-game winning streak in nearly 20 months.

NOTES

KINGS: The NBA players' association is continuing its appeal on behalf of center DeMarcus Cousins even after he has served his suspension.

The league suspended Cousins two games for confronting a San Antonio announcer, Sean Elliott, in a "hostile manner" Friday night. The exchange followed the Spurs' 97-86 victory at Sacramento.

ROCKETS: Rookie Royce White remains absent from the team in a dispute over how the team is helping him confront his anxiety disorder.

The 6-foot-8 White, the 16th overall pick in the 2012 draft, made a deal with the team to travel by bus to some games so he could confront his fear of flying and obsessive compulsive disorder over the long term. He flew with the team to its opener at Detroit.
