NOTES

ROCKETS: Houston suspended first-round pick Royce White for “refusing to provide services” required by his contract.

General Manager Daryl Morey said that the team will continue to work with White in hopes of finding a resolution.

Last week, White refused his assignment to Houston’s D-League affiliate. The 16th overall pick in the June draft has spent most of the season on Houston’s inactive list while he and the team figure out how to handle his anxiety disorder and overall mental health.

MAVERICKS: Dallas requested waivers on guard Chris Douglas-Roberts after he spent only two weeks on their roster. Douglas-Roberts was the D-League’s top scorer when he was signed from the Mavericks’ affiliate on Dec. 23.

In six games for Dallas, the 6-foot-7 Douglas-Roberts averaged 2.8 points in 101/2 minutes a game. He averaged 22.5 points in 11 games in the D-League for the Texas Legends before that.

BULLS: Chicago signed guard Daequan Cook, who was released by the Rockets Thursday. Cook played in 16 games for Houston and averaged 3.4 points in 10.3 minutes.

CAVALIERS: Cleveland waived forward Samardo Samuels, who made one start and played in 18 games this season for the Cavs, averaging 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds.
